This is Kubuntu 8.10 running an open source iTunes clone called, [url=www.songbirdnest.com]Songbird[/url]. While still not up to Mac OS X standards, this version of Linux is the easiest to use yet. 

just a simple shot of an avi being viewed through quickview. of note are the various modifications to the ui (done mostly by taking elements 'away'). still trying to work out how to change the grey windows in something lighter or even darker (i would love to port v23 to leopard). paused music is the wonderful Voice farm, i urge everybody to check them out, even though they've been idle for over ten years.  

Gettin' my hippie on with a nice track from Iron Butterfly. Safari 2.0.4 is modded by me and the Rampant Ranch loaded up; Safari 3.0.3 features Michael's Mac. TextWrangler has my copy paste text for writing Wordrpress posts. Photoshop CS has pair of newly constucted desktops up on screen for exporting JPEGs. And a new desktop called "Galactic Stew" occupies my workspace while I mull over it for a few days to see if anything needs a tweaking. Image was rendered with a new version of Oxidizer.

The Gimp (www.gimp.org) is helping me make the banner with just the right amount of fade out. EazyDraw (www.eazydraw.com)is kicking out some text for the contact page. Preview is displaying one of her murals. Stickies is keeping notes of the hosting service for me. TextWrangler (www.barebones.com) is displaying the style.css data for me to edit directly. FotoTrimmer (www.componentx.com) is helping me resize some of her larger pics to a more manageable size. GraphicConverter (www.lemkesoft.com) is helping me tweak out one of her murals.
